The Department of Sociology offers the Bachelor of Science in Applied Sociology degree fully online through MS State Online. Students will acquire the skills to think scientifically about real-world problems, societies, and human behavior, equipping them to excel in a competitive marketplace or in graduate programs.
Students will learn to collect, analyze, and interpret data, prepare publications and reports on research findings, and how to be a professional sociologist, solving rea-world problems. Upon completion, students in the Applied Sociology program will be able to seek rewarding employment in a variety of jobs across various industries within the public, private and nonprofit sectors.
